I like to play some daily word games to get my brain juices flowing. Standard Wordle stopped intriguing me a while ago, but it gets a nod as being one of the OGs of the genre.
Toddle
In Toddle, you receive a small word and category and must determine the longer word or phrase. The small word usually hints very vaguely on the category or theme. Made by Todd McClary, a puzzler I know and admire.
Chainagram
In Chainagram, you must create an anagram word ladder between two words. It’s a fun twist on the classic word ladder and there are several available each day as a bonus after getting the first one right.
Fusele
In Fusele, you must guess a word in classic Wordle fashion. However, each line of the puzzle operates on a different variation of the format. The order of the operations is always different and there’s a blind version where you won’t know what operations are coming until you get to them. It scratches my Wordle-ish itch in a way that sudoku variants scratch my sudoku itch.
