Friend Mall

I sell some of my art and puzzles and weird stuff at my store, too, but this is mostly a link dealie for all my friends who are makers and sellers of things, if you’re looking for indie goods.

I also asked them for what their store in a mall would look like and then used Midjourney to try to create that image. Welcome to the mall!!!

Jewelry

DragonBeadZ sells exceptionally cool jewelry including earrings and necklaces with beadwork, wire wrapping, and more.

“Hmm, I would group like things together. Earrings together, necklaces together, bracelets, etc. […] Eclectic goth hippie? lol. Maybe some steampunk corner. And science fiction fan corner.” — Heidi

Puzzles and Games

Pavel’s Puzzles sells a variety of puzzles in written and physical form.

“There’d be a really huge mechanical puzzle out in front of it, so large that it would require multiple people working together to assemble it. Like the website, the shop would feature lots of rainbow gradients.” — Pavel

“It would be beige and black, a bit overcrowded with product, and nothing would be catalogued properly so it would take hours to find what you are looking for.” — Dyson

Creditworthy sells some jigsaw puzzles, labyrinth items, philosophy themed gear, and vintage photos/ephemera.

“and it’s definitely one of those janky 90s sunglasses huts in the median of the concourse” — Eli

Krazydad sells a wide variety of puzzle books lovingly handcrafted by computers using software that was lovingly handcrafted by a human.

“I would hope similar to The Last Bookstore (or The Lost Bookstore) in LA. A cross between that an espresso cart.” — Jim

Artist Elizabeth Mayville creates works in a variety of mediums and makes them available on her Etsy shop.

” Probably a less sleek, slightly warmer Apple store? My brain doesn’t like organizing 3d spaces.” — Elizabeth Mayville

Rock Paper Goods is a queer-owned collective of handmade ceramics and paper goods crafted over good times with friends.

“Oh boy, hmmm, probably like a little cart you might find in a forest that’s equal parts enchanted and haunted
Like kind of rickety but charming, lots of earth tones and bits of moss/sticks/mud in the wheels. Probably bugs on the shelves that might be real or fake or somewhere in between” — Annie

“Yeah like Earthbound but with wayyy more headshop energy
Dimly lit, maybe a fog machine somewhere, strong incense smell but the good kind not the cheap kind
Have you been to Enchanted Forest? I imagine kinda like that lol” — Sam

Food Court

Hush Hush Barbeque is one of the premiere BBQ and tamale dealers in Fort Worth, TX.

“I would want a welcoming vibe. Where all are welcome to eat. Esthetically I’d like the way Heim looks off of White Settlement Rd. With the wood & black decor. But I’m a nerd 🤓
I’d put up Darth Vader posters, I’d have retro video games 🎮 serve craft beer.
If I could combine say Heim decor & Southside Cellar vibe.
Something along those lines…” — Michael
